So, the question shouldn’t be “Have you ever made a mistake?,” but “What did you do about it?” That’s the tough question.

Have you ever wondered why some agents make $25,000 in their first year and others, who pull in more real estate buyer leads, make $250,000? If your answer is “luck” or “connections” you are probably way off base.

We are all genetically predisposed to exact a certain level of success for ourselves. Think of it as an “internal thermostat.”

If your thermostat is set at 60 and you start to do really well at generating real estate buyer leads, it is likely you will sabotage your success. Think of lottery winners that run out of money or sports stars that are broke as soon as they retire. They are not “wired” to achieve at a high level financially, so they do not – they eventually return to their stasis.

The good news is you can change your thermostat over 30-90 days. Here is how; it will take you 15-20 minutes a day, but can transform your life. If you can’t devote that much time to getting ahead, there is no hope for you.

You have to change your wiring by changing how you feel about money, success, and yourself. Repeat the following every morning as soon as you wake, every evening right before you go to bed, and at least once throughout the day:

I attract good people and great ideas
My life is one of abundance and hope
I am grateful for all the opportunities I have

Print the wording out and keep a copy next to your bed and another copy at work. If you don’t like this wording, write your own- but make sure it is 100% positive.

As you say the words, really FEEL them, and over time you will start to believe them yourself. Remember- we are limited only by what we can conceive.
