How to Write a Real Estate Internet Marketing Blog Post About Selling Your Home During the Holidays

A real estate blog is an essential business tool for agents who want to get more leads through real estate internet marketing.

A real estate blog gives you the ability to connect with countless potential clients. In your blog, you can share your expertise about your local area and the real estate market. You can also build your brand by helping your readers face and overcome problems as they try to buy or sell a home. For example, you can write a blog post about selling your home during the holidays.

Selling a home is a stressful situation, and this is only compounded with the added stress of the holidays. You readers can definitely use some advice about how to make it through the season with some semblance of sanity. This is a great post for a bulleted list, like “7 Ways to Survive Selling Your Home During the Holidays” or “5 Things to Remember During Holiday Showings” or even “10 Things to Do to Sell Your Home During the Holidays”.

No matter which topic you choose, you should remind your reader of the following: (more…)

Real Estate Marketing Online: Idea for Blog Topic

One of the best ways to bring in more leads through your real estate marketing online is to blog a minimum of 2 times a week and preferably 3 times a week.

To assist you with this process, I’ll frequently post ideas for real estate blog topics. The topics will be geared to increase your opportunity to convert leads you get from your real estate marketing online.

Today’s idea can best be demonstrated by showing you an example of a real estate blog post on this topic: Sacramento Real Estate Gal’s post about buyers asking a variety of agents to show homes

How many times have you complained that home buyers simply do not remain loyal to you? Stop complaining and start educating. Tell them in your blog why it’s in their best interest to work exclusively with you as their Buyer’s Agent.

Your clients will appreciate it. Visitors to your blog will see you as the ethical, knowledgeable real estate agent you are.

Blog Topic to Get Real Estate Listing Leads

I want to share with you an example of a blog topic that you can easily write that will help you get real estate listing leads.

A North Phoenix agent recently wrote a blog post describing one of her typical days. She wrote this to demonstrate that she’s worth the money she’s paid to sell homes (and of course to help pull in some real estate listing leads.) To read the post click here: Real Estate Agents Make Too Much Money

This is a good idea for a blog post. As a successful real estate agent, you work very hard for your money. And, the majority of home sellers and home buyers have no concept of all you do to help them buy or sell a home.

I’m going to give you 3 suggestions on how to improve on this idea:

  1. Include how a buyer or seller benefits from the things you’re doing throughout the day. For example, instead of saying “Create and order 500 postcards” you might say “Create and order postcards marketing a new listing to 500 potential buyers.”
  2. A bit of personal information, as it relates to your job, is good, but too much or too negative isn’t. You want to be personable so the reader gets to know you, but you don’t want to tell them the sordid details of your life.
  3. Every few months, write another post like this describing a different type of day. In other words, vary the list of things you write about. This helps keep the posts a readable length. If a post is too long, no one will read the whole thing.

If you want to try writing a post like this for your blog, don’t be afraid — just do it. I’ll even review it for you for free. Add a comment to this post with a link to your blog post after you’ve written it. I’ll give you my suggestions on how to improve it.
